Not That Kind Of Girl by Siobhan Vivian {Review}

Not That Kind Of Girl
Author: Siobhan Vivian
Published: September 1 2010
Pages: 322

Goodreads summary: Natalie Sterling wants to be in control. She wants her friends to be loyal. She wants her classmates to elect her student council president. She wants to find the right guy, not the usual jerk her school has to offer. She wants a good reputation, because she believes that will lead to good things.
But life is messy, and it's very hard to be in control of it. Not when there are freshman girls running around in a pack, trying to get senior guys to sleep with them. Not when your friends have secrets they're no longer comfortable sharing. Not when the boy you once dismissed ends up being the boy you want to sleep with yourself - but only in secret, with nobody ever finding out.
Slut or saint? Winner or loser? Natalie is getting tired of these forced choices - and is now going to find a way to live life in the sometimes messy, sometimes wonderful in-between.

First I want to say that I am still trying to find a way to review books I read that make sense and that are good so for the first couple of reviews you will see different set ups until I find a way to set it up better and stick with it.

Review

I will start out by saying that don't let the cover fool you because you might think this is more of a romance love story because of the cover but let me tell you for most part of the book it doesn't all deal with love and romance that is just some part of the story.

The book has many elements that make it a very good book.It deals with love,friendships,secrets,feminism and how a girl is defining herself and how to be truth to herself and for what she believe in.

I like all the characters except sometimes Natalie which is the main character she sometime annoyed me because she wanted to be like part of everything or everything to come out perfect but she was just trying to help and that the kind of person she was. Connor I thought was a really sweet boy but there is things that he did that may me angry but still enjoyed reading about him.Other characters like Natalie friends tie the whole book up making it something to look forward to reading.

Overall I love the book it was a fast read.It was a fun and easy read.I recommend you to read!Let me know if this would be a kind of book you read?Have you read it before share your thoughts?

Sometimes It Happens by Lauren Barnholdt {Review}

Sometimes It Happens
Author: Lauren Barnholdt
Published: July 12 2011
Pages: 320

Goodreads summary: This novel opens on the first day of Hannah’s senior year, but the story really starts on the last day of her junior year. That’s when Hannah not only gets dumped by her boyfriend, Sebastian, but she also finds out her best friend, Ava, is going to be gone for the entire summer. But Ava’s boyfriend, Noah, is definitely around—and such a good guy that he snags Hannah a job at the diner where he works. Hannah and Noah move from coworkers, to friends….and one night, to something more.
Now it’s back to school, where Hannah will see Sebastian, Ava, and Noah all in one place. Over the course of the day secrets and betrayals are revealed, and alliances are broken and reformed. In the end, Hannah will learn a lot about love, friendship…and herself.

Review

Highlights: I love this book I enjoyed the plot the drama. It was a easy and fast read for me.At times I wasn't able to put it down because I wanted to know what would happen next with all the characters. For parts of the story I enjoy Hannah's character but at times I did not.

Notes: Each chapter goes from "First day of senior year" to " flash backs of Hannah's "beginning of Summer". I thought this was a great factor because the end of each chapter it left me asking "What is happening next" and wanting to keep on reading.

Dislikes/Likes: I didn't like how Hannah for most part of the book keep on thinking of Sebastian I just wanted her to move on and stop thinking about him.
Noah loved how he help out Hannah and was there for her.But he did make me mad at times and I just wanted to slap him. But I won't go into details about that.

Overall: This book is a must read if you like chick-lit,drama,romance,lying,and cheating.This book has a little of everything.

                                                          I give this book
